Maryland and Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association, Incorporated d/b/a Maola (“MDVA”, “Maola,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is the owner of the www.maolamilk.com website (“Website”)”.   This policy (the “Privacy Policy”) describes the personal information that we may collect when you visit our Website or use another service that includes an authorized link or reference to this Privacy Policy (collectively, “Services”).

a. This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect:

• On this Website or mobile apps linked to this Privacy Policy;
• Through email, forms, texts, and electronic communications between you and us; and
• When you interact with Maola content or promotions on third-party websites, including sweepstakes and contests, where we have included an authorized link or reference to this Privacy Policy in the official rules.

b. This Privacy Policy does NOT apply to:

• Information collected by websites or content operated by third parties (“Third Party Sites”), even if linked from our Website.
• Information collected by any third party from social media platforms on which we maintain our social media pages.
• When you give us your information during a physical interaction, such as at an event.

a.  We collect information, including personal information about you, in the following ways:

i)  Information you provide to us  – You may provide us with information when you fill out forms, send us texts or other email and electronic messages, report problems on our Website, enter promotions, sign up to join our marketing list, call us, submit complaints to us, or otherwise provide information to us. This information may include, for example:

• Contact information and identifiers, such as first and last name, address, telephone number, email address, and other contact information you choose to provide us as part of the Services;
• Demographic information, such as your age (e.g., when provided in connection with your participation in a contest, sweepstakes, or other promotion);

(ii)  Information we collect automatically – MDVA and our service providers may collect internet and other electronic activity information and other personal information automatically when you use our Services or interact with our emails or digital advertisements through the use of automatic data collection technologies including cookies, web beacons (also known as pixels), and other technologies. Cookies are small data files placed on you’re the hard drive of your device when you visit a website. c.  If you engage and authorize an agent to make the above requests or exercise your rights on your behalf, we will verify your agent’s authorization to act on your behalf and may require more information to properly do so.

9.  Additional Privacy Choices:

a.  You may opt out of our processing of your personal information for purposes of targeted advertising by following the instructions set out in this section.

GPC is a specification designed to allow internet users to notify businesses of their privacy preferences, such as whether or not they want to have their personal information sold or shared with third parties for targeted advertising. It consists of a setting or extension in the user’s browser or mobile device and acts as a mechanism that our Website can use to honor the user’s privacy settings. Pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Right Act of 2020, together with all implementing regulations (“CCPA”), we are providing the following details regarding the categories of personal information about California residents that we have collected (whether online or offline) or disclosed within the preceding 12 months. We may not collect and/or disclose all of the information listed below from you. What we collect and/or disclose depends on your relationship with us.

(a) We collected the categories of personal information (as defined by the CCPA) identified in the first section of our Privacy Policy.

We collect this personal information directly from you, automatically when you interact with our Services, emails, or digital advertisements (e.g., via cookies and web beacons), and from other categories of sources, such as social media platforms (e.g., when you contact us using our social media pages), publicly available databases, and joint marketing partners when they share the information with us. Generally, the categories of personal information we collect pursuant to this Privacy Policy are not considered sensitive under applicable law. We do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising information about individuals we know are under age 16. In the previous 12 months, we may have sold or shared the categories of personal information listed below with the categories of third parties listed below.

Notice of Financial Incentives: We may offer discounts, coupons, and similar benefits (each, a “financial incentive”) to customers who sign up to receive our marketing emails. When you participate in a financial incentive, we may collect personal information from you, such as your name, postal address, and email address.
